Rendy L. Jones is Director of Communications for the Cook County Bureau of Health Services. She has more than 23 years of management experience in the field of healthcare and more than 25 years of dedicated community service.

Since the beginning of her career, Jones’ level of expertise has expanded to include broad and comprehensive experience within both the private and public sectors. She has held high level Executive Assistant positions at the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services in Washington, DC, and Mount Sinai Hospital and Medical Center of Chicago where she served as Executive Assistant to the President and was appointed to the Senior Management Team . In 1991, she joined the Senior Management Staff of Cook County Hospital and was later appointed Director of Communications for the Cook County Bureau of Health Services. Her responsibilities include managing media, public relations, publications, special events, marketing and philanthropy as well as special projects.

Jones has received numerous awards and honors for her work in healthcare and community service. Recently, she was selected as a 2003 Management Fellow with the National Association of Public Hospitals.
